Our Fellow Omegans It is time rejoice! The official 2007 42nd Anniversary Camp Omega Reunion plans are now set! Here are the details:
Friday September 7: There will be a hospitality suite at the Marriott for signing in and getting your detailed event itinerary, t-shirt(s) and nametags. Those of you who will be arriving on Friday will be on your own after checking in or you can stay and party at the suite. Note: Those of you who plan to attend the Saturday afternoon and/or evening events ONLY can check in upon arrival. Follow the sign to the hospitality suite to check in.
Saturday daytime, September 8: At approximately 11am we will be picked up by luxury bus and taken to Pine Grove Day Camp for a daytime barbecue and event. Those of you arriving on Saturday morning must time your arrival at the Marriott to allow enough time to check in at the suite and make it to the bus pick-up location which will be listed on your itinerary. We will have use of the facility for six hours including a four-hour barbeque. Follow this link for directions:
Note: there will be a random inspection by Mike Fiedler and Bernice Steinman. Keep your cubbies neat or no ice cream sundaes for you! Bring your sneakers and bathing suits. After our afternoon of camp-like fun we will return by bus to the Marriott at approximately 6pm. You will then be confined to your bunks.. err… rooms for Rest Hour but allowing for age it’s now Rest Two Hours.
Saturday evening: The evening activity at the Marriott will begin at 8pm with an old-fashioned Camp Omega Social. The location for the evening activity will be on your itinerary. Can anybody say Scotch, Whiskey, Soda? We will have a cocktail party with dancing, special events, live music and guest stars too. Do Old Flames ever die? No never! At least we hope not!
Sunday, September 9: We will have a breakfast Sunday consisting of omelets and a continental breakfast between 9:30am and 11:00am.
We are very excited about this and we truly hope everyone will attend this “why did it take so long to happen” event!
